Here's the drivers seat from my first visit. The padding and vinyl cover over the dog house is missing as well.
Here's the passenger seating area. No seat, no floor mat, worn out door panels...all items I can replace.
This crude hole cut in the back of the cab gives access to the sleeper box. This will definitely need to be fixed up a bit. I'm thinking some sort of sliding panel perhaps.
I can't wait to restore this original steering wheel and add a custom made leather wrap. A few gauges aren't working properly, tach, oil pressure, fuel gauge to begin with.
I ordered a new key set for the doors and ignition. Gotta start somewhere.
I need to replace the mechanical tach cable on my 1984 Peterbilt 362 Cabover. I have a cable that came with the truck. I see why the previous owner didn't install it. The tach cables have different ends, round with a tang pinched into it. This MDS adapter I bought from Summit Racing and a little bit of filing down the square end of a much less expensive speedometer cable might be a suitable fix when the original style isn't available or is too expensive.
