Thoughts of this 362 wouldn't leave my mind. Big cab, stretched frame, Cat 3406, 15 speed, cab air ride, electric wipers, dual spot lights, dual horns, this was a real fancy truck at one time.
I contacted the original seller a few months later. He told me he had alot of the mechanical bugs worked out and drove it to another guys shop and sold it to him. He told me where the shop was but didn't have a phone #.
The next time I was in the area I drove by his shop. There it was. The box had been removed and a piece of sheet metal covered the hole in the back of the cab.
I left a note but while I was checking it out the new owners son drove up. Finally I had a contact #. We made a deal over the phone. The new owner wanted to keep all 10 24.5 inch wheels and tires.
It was difficult to find a rental tow hook. Luckily a used truck deal er in Jacksonville FL has a couple he rents. Step 1) get the hook.
On the way to ge the 362 I stopped at a salvage yard a bought 2 Peterbilt Alcoa 24.5 rims. Hard to find. I eventually went back and bough the other two they had. I put a pair of Cheapo Chinese steer tires on them. Now let's go get the cabover.
