These old dogs definitely need to learn some new tricks. The plan is to run the two best wheels up front on the steer axle. Polished and protected this Cerakote Aluminum clear ceramic coating. The other 4 will br cleaned and polished the the best they can be then powder coated purple candy like the engine pipes. 

Drastic measures. These wheels are so oxidized and dirty I needed a wire wheel, chemical solvents, a D/A sander, and hand wet sanding all before electric buffing to see any kind of shine.

It turned out pretty dog gone good. Looks good from 15 feet away. Time for powder.

The powder looks much different before the curing process.

I spent a little time hand polishing the steer axle Alcoas before mounting some cheapo Chinese steer tires for the tow hook ride back to my shop. They will be machine polished and then sprayed with Cerakote Aluminum clear coating. Hopefully this will help protect the shine for longer.

They worked just fine. Looked ok too.
